Sauípe Eco Park is the new tourism ecological option in Bahia’s north coast. Installed next to Costa do Sauípe, the park had its first phase opened on December 5 th, 2006.

Tourists that visit the north coast will have access to a new adventure attraction, Sauípe Eco Park. The original ecological preservation project is installed in a 66 hectares Atlantic Rain Forest area donated by the business man, Norberto Odebrecht, to Costa dos Coqueiros Ecological Corridor Institute (INCECC).

Ecosystem conservation stimulation and supplying materials for north coast reforestation are the main goals of the project, develop by Cetrel and Sauípe S/A. The park is coordinated by Incecc and has the support of Mata de São João City Hall, Brazilian Environment Institute (IBAMA) and National Artistic and Historical Heritage Institute (IPHAN).
